Master Data Analyst

        

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Master Data Analyst will have the primary responsibility for ensuring that master data is maintained by entering, updating, and maintaining master data, as well as having a full understanding of the impact of this data across the value chain. This role will also support inter-company customer orders, ensuring that orders are accurate and scheduled accordingly.  This  position will be focused on ensuring customer satisfaction (measured by OTIF – on time in full), communicating with other sites regarding product schedules, as well as maximizing freight efficiency by building full truckloads.

 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that master data is properly defined and setup in our ERP systems.  Working closely with the Master Data Manager, the Master Data Analyst is also responsible for data collection, entry and loading of local Master Data into IFS, including Bill of Materials, Customer and Material records, etc.
  • Understand the data elements and how they flow through the supply chain.
  • Prioritize workload to balance multiple customer requests and deliver responses within agreed upon timeframe.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Warehouse, and others as needed to ensure orders are successfully processed and fulfilled.
  • Answer customer enquiries regarding product information, order status, shipment tracking, etc.
  • Run Open Order report daily to ensure all orders are properly confirmed and released to shipping as needed.
  • Receive and process requests from the user community for changes to, or creation of master data records, and manage the requests through a formal process of validation and approval.
  • Coordinate with the user community to ensure correctness and completeness of data contained in requests.
  • Responsible for prompt implementation of all Master Data procedures to ensure that all information systems and services meet the company standards and end-user requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve master data issues.

 

Candidate Requirements:                        

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or 2-4 years' equivalent work experience.
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, (ability to perform Vlookups and formatting. Pivot-Tables a plus!)
  • ERP experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.  Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical.
  • Detail oriented / Ability to maintain high data integrity during data transfer process.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively prioritize a large volume of tasks to ensure timelines are met, and all information is available to the user community quickly and effectively.
  • Successful candidates must have a passion for on-time customer service, proactive problem-solving, superior attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused mindset, experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
