Master Data Analyst


Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Master Data Analyst will have the primary responsibility for ensuring that master data is maintained by entering, updating, and maintaining master data, as well as having a full understanding of the impact of this data across the value chain. This position is focused on ensuring data integrity, as well as data entry.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that master data is properly defined and setup in our IFS enterprise system. Working closely with the Master Data Manager, the Master Data Analyst is also responsible for data collection, entry and loading of local Master Data into IFS, including Bill of Materials, Customer and Material records, etc.
  • Understand the data elements and how they flow through the supply chain.
  • Receive and process requests from the user community for changes to, or creation of master data records, and manage the requests through a formal process of validation and approval.
  • Coordinate with the user community to ensure correctness and completeness of data contained in requests.
  • Pro-actively monitor and analyze all master data files for continuous improvements on the cleanliness of data.
  • Responsible for prompt implementation of all Master Data procedures to ensure that all information systems and services meet the company standards and end-user requirements.
  • Assist with testing configuration changes to master data elements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve master data issues.


Candidate Requirements:                        

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or 2-4 years' equivalent work experience.
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, (ability to perform Vlookups and formatting. Pivot-Tables a plus!)
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in SAP strongly preferred, IFS a big plus!
  • Effective time manager - routinely called on to prioritize a large number of tasks and report on assignment status.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills. Written and verbal communication skills are critical.
  • Detailed oriented / Ability to maintain high data integrity during data transfer process.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively prioritize a large volume of tasks to ensure timelines are met, and all information is available to the user community quickly and effectively.
  • Successful candidates must have a passion for on-time customer service, proactive problem-solving, superior attention to detail.
