<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">The Quality Manager is responsible for making decisions with regards to quality standards across the site, ensuring all products meet all quality requirements for each customer.  Must ensure that quality complaints are tracked accurately, and controls are put in place to prevent future occurrences.  The Quality Manager will make critical decisions regarding quality discipline and training and will partner with other supervisors and managers to support adherence to quality processes.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Lead a team of quality techs, leads and a Supervisor.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Development, implementation and administration of quality policies and procedures to all employees.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Ability to create and deliver effective quality training for all employees.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Creation and implementation of a standard quality audit structure across the site and measure compliance.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Lead and train others in quality audits throughout the site and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Maintain up to date inspection reports, files, quality programs and samples, including Pest Control Program, GFSI, and/or other programs to meet customer requirements and food safety compliance.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Oversee the development, implementation, review and maintenance of BRCGS.  Develop processes and procedures to support the plants to continually and consistently adhere to BRCGS policies and procedures.  Implement appropriate actions to ensure the integrity of the BRCGS processes and procedures.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of quality controls in all areas.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Facilitate customer responses by establishing customer relationships and working with site, sales and/or customer service.  Facilitate formal corrective actions at customer request.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Collect, organize, analyze, report and communicate data to internal and external customers.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Facilitate and assist support departments with technical expertise for process improvements, and environmental compliance.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Lead Continuous Improvement reporting, activities and training within the plant.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Promote an environment of continuous improvement of quality.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and BRCGS quality standards.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Facilitate corrective actions with the support of the Production Manager and HR Manager to ensure all quality and production policies and procedures are met and followed.

 

<span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Candidate Qualifications:

  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering Field.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Minimum 5 years quality experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Statistical / math background required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Proficiency in daily use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point) and Outlook email.  Advanced use of Excel preferred.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Familiarity with quality data software is required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Experience with compliance systems (document control, recordkeeping, etc.) is required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Experience with problem solving within a continuous improvement environment is required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Must have strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Quality experience in a thermoforming manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">A highly energetic and passionate candidate with experience in multiple platforms, a high number of SKUs, and frequent product changeovers preferred.
  • <span style="font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif">Normal dexterity and weightlifting requirements (requires extensive walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing and lifting up to 30 pounds).
