Position available in 391 Thermoforming Plant

Principal Job Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance of tools as per established procedures
• Ensure all tools are placed properly in the racks.
• Identify issues with tools and arrange for their repairs, either in the plant or at Machine Shop in consultation with the specialist.
• Repair tools and castings such as polishing the knifes, pinning the knives, cleaning the castings, repairing the knife bolts, dents on the castings, Vent holes etc.
• Perform pm or repairs on tools in the machine shop if required
• Ensure tooling is in good condition for upcoming machine setups
• Operate conventional tool room machines such as ultra-sonic bath, grinding machine, drilling machine, hand tools etc.
• Check and maintain the spare inventory of tooling consumables at the production floor and communicate to specialist.
• Maintain Tool PM log/history to identify recurring issues
• When required, operate reach truck to move tools

• Diligently follow lockout / tag out procedures whenever required
• Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in own work area and around work units
• Perform all work in a safe manner and fully comply with the Safety and Quality (GMP) policies and procedures of the Company
• Any other duties as assigned by the Management

Job Requirements                                           

• Minimum high school diploma
• Technical school course (Mechanical Technology) /Junior Millwright or equivalent experience of at least 1-2 years
• Ability to use Vernier Calipers, micrometers, levelers etc.
• Able to operate overhead crane, Blue Giant, Tool cart and pallet jack
• Crane certification is required (training will be provided internally)
• Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Computer literacy is required
• Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn
