Job Title: National Account Manager
Reports to: VP Sales
Department: Sales
Company: Polarpak Co.
Reporting Site: Foodservice – Montreal. 
Work Location: Located home office/ work remotely in Ontario

 

 

Job purpose
The National Account Manager (NAM) will be a key part of the Canadian Foodservice team. This role is responsible for delivering on the existing sales plan metrics, manage a diverse base of the existing business, and land new business opportunities with new and existing customers. 

 

Job Duties
•    Establish deep and wide relationships with existing customer base constantly looking for new ways to grow.
•    Develop and deliver new opportunities with both new and existing customers.
•    Work collaboratively across many functions to deliver the following key goals

  • With the Pricing team to maintain and grow profitability,
  • With Customer Service team to foster healthy customer fill rates and manage through supply and service challenges.
  • With the Supply chain and Operations team to build and own sales forecasts, execute new service models, etc.

•    Plan and present regular business reviews with Key Accounts.
•    Provide weekly updates for VP Sales detailing key activities and action plans.
•    Utilize new and existing sales tools and methodologies (i.e. CRM) to track and win new opportunities
•    Be the best-market ambassador for WNA, Polar, and Novolex and drive for new cross-sell opportunities. 
•    Any other duties as assigned by Management.

 

Job Requirements
•    Post-Secondary Education
•    5 years related to Foodservice Key Account/NAM experience required. 
•    Experience in developing sales plans and reports.
•    Proven track record of hitting sales goals/targets.  
•    Competitive spirit, passion for winning, and ability to marshal resources towards achieving results. 
•    Knowledge of the packaging industry is an asset.  CPG experience is also considered beneficial.
•    Superior time management skills, analytical skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential. 
•    Ability to work remotely / home office-based.
•    Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) with superior skills in Excel  
•    Team player and capable of thinking outside the box.
•    Ability to make sound, timely, and accurate judgments while supporting reasoning for decisions. 
•    Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude.
•    Some travel may be required inclusive of customer and industry events, trade shows
