Position Summary:


The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible to coordinate with Distribution and Sales & Marketing to ensure accurate processing of any air or ocean shipments related to vendors outside North America. The role provides timely and regular reporting on Distribution operations. The role also coordinates with third-party transportation management entities for all shipping related to North America.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare BOLs and respective custom-related documents for international deliveries and or small packages.
  • Analyze shipping information to determine and verify the service requirements, appropriate routes, border crossing points, and applicable rates and update the system if required.
  • Analyze shipping/receiving data and generate reports on performance and bottlenecks.
  • Deal with Custom Brokers and provide any information required to speed up the clearance of inbound or outbound shipments including international shipments.
  • Prepare NAFTA certificates and submit them to Custom Brokers on annual basis.
  • Prepare and process customs (ACE/ACI/PAPS/PARS) and other dispatch-related paperwork and Customs documents and records including submission of Export Declaration to the CBSA.
  • Follow up and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding ETA of any shipments in transit including Resin and Raw Material.
  • Act as primary contact for Novolex’s preferred TMS Provider(s) and/or Carriers.
  • Coordinate all OTIF-related data for reporting on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as required.
  • Provide regular reports on carrier performance, on-time delivery, issue log, etc., and inform key stakeholders to address any issues with logistics operations.
  • Provide day-to-day management of the returns and damaged goods process and analyze and report on performance data.
  • Assist with review of OS&D (over, short, damaged) items and claims.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by Management.


Candidate Requirements:                                                                                                                                                                        

  • Minimum high school diploma, post-secondary education in Supply Chain or Logistics Management is an asset.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in transportation and logistics, supply chain, and/or sourcing.
  • Working knowledge of transportation cargo claims, Customs paperwork, transportation laws, and risk management.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage both day-to-day responsibilities and project work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
