Job Title:

Electro mechanic Technician Apprenticeship

 

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing production and process manufacturing equipment onsite, as well as making modifications to existing equipment, repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance functions. The candidate will work directly with the technicians on shift.

 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Capable of learning how to repair, replace, or install various power transmission systems and components including electrical and mechanical devices, such as gears, pulleys, sprockets, belts of various designs, bearings, drive shafts and couplings.
  • Capable of learning how to repair, replace, or install various pneumatics systems and components, including such items as air lines and cylinders, valves, solenoids, pipe, manifolds, and pneumatic circuits.
  • Capable of learning how to repair, replace, or install various single and three phase electrical systems and components, such as motors, switches, wiring, conduit, motor starters, contactors, fuses, light bulbs, encoders, and circuit breakers.
  • Capable of learning how to repair, replace, or install various hydraulic systems and components to include but not limited to: cylinders, pumps, valves, solenoids, motors, hose, pipe and manifolds
  • Safely use a variety of maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Must have the ability to use multi-meters to identify the presence of voltage.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot minor wiring schematics.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail, cooperative attitude, and sound work ethics are essential.
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience in Maintenance function preferred.
  • Fork lift experience helpful, but not required.
  • Must possess troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to all aspects of safety.
  • Ability to work 12-hour day and night rotating shift.
  • May be required to complete training courses as determined by management.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
