Warehouse Administrator


Position Summary:

The Warehouse Administrator reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.  He/she develops appropriate relationships with customer service and shipping to provide exceptional customer service and logistical support to facilitate a mutually beneficial business relationship.  The Warehouse Administrator works closely with the Inventory Control Manager and Warehouse Manager to insure the movement of finished goods through the warehouse, rotating the finished goods inventory and picking/packing/shipping the finished goods in compliance with company and customer requirements.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute customer orders for picking, packing and shipping to warehouse personnel.
  • Process all B.O.L. and Packing Slip documents from finished orders.
  • In cooperation with the Inventory Control Manager or Warehouse Manager, monitor backorders and make use of substitutions when applicable.
  • Manage timely pick-up and delivery of all customer and interplant shipments.
  • Maintain data integrity, documenting and reporting all service issues as they relate to inventory control.
  • In cooperation with the Inventory Control Manager or Warehouse Manager, coordinate and manage cycle count and physical inventory process.
  • In cooperation with the Inventory Control Manager or Warehouse Manager, prepare necessary reports relating to Physical Inventory Counts.
  • Communicate backorders to customer service.
  • Work with Customer Service and Sales department to improve processes and system integration.
  • May perform other projects and duties as assigned.


Candidate Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Some familiarity with Microsoft Office. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, vendors and customers.


Physical Requirements:
