Position Summary:

The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and monitoring production lines to ensure optimum production and adherence to customer delivery dates and company deadlines and the scheduling and inventory control of Replenishment Orders (RO’s) for non-manufactured finished goods products.  This position plans production to meet schedule requirements, inventory objectives and major program objectives.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Use computer system to schedule all production lines and prioritize production runs.
  • Production Order entry and maintenance
  • Monitor production lines to ensure adherence to schedules and make appropriate adjustments
  • Establish schedules consistent with master schedule requirements
  • Maintain MRP product planning data to effect service performance and inventory control
  • Maintain finished goods inventory and reorders as required to maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Coordinate for product availability with Customer Service Reps
  • Coordinate for materials with Purchasing
  • Coordinate Production Schedule with Production Leadership
  • Coordinate and schedule machinery for Changeovers and Preventive Maintenance
  • Work with all departments to ensure communication of relevant information
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
  • Back-up/Fill-in for other Schedulers
  • Complies with EHS rules and responsibilities
  • Other duties may be assigned


Candidate Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • 3-5 Years of scheduling experience in an MPS/MRP manufacturing environment.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with people in all levels of the corporation
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
