Job Title:

Senior Human Resources Manager

 

Position Summary:

The Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting the Human Resources Manager with day-to-day HR leadership to Plant Management of ~200+ employees at our Franklin, Mt. Vernon, and Reno.

  

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Officed at the Franklin, Ohio plant and leads the HR function at the local site plus two other sites
  • Manage staffing and recruiting process
  • Manage headcount reports
  • Processes Unemployment Claims
  • Coordinates all recruitment-related activities including, but not limited to; posting/communicating open positions, screening candidates, conducting interviews, updating job descriptions, etc.
  • Conducts new-hire orientation and has oversight relative to other locations
  • Process background checks and pre-employment requirements
  • Completes employment verification requests
  • Maintains employee personnel files
  • Serves as a member of the Safety Committee
  • Assists with Employee Relations issues
  • Compiles data and publishes related reports including turnover, absenteeism, head count, vacation, etc.
  • Ensures legal compliance – EEO, AAP, FLSA, etc.
  • All other tasks and duties, as assigned

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources, or a combination of education and 6-8 years of work-related experience required
  • HRCI or SHRM Certification preferred
  • Experience with Kronos, ADP or similar HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers
  • Must possess a high degree of professionalism in handling confidential information
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience working with a labor union preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational and auditing skills required
