Job Title:

Inventory Clerk

 

Position Summary:

The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining a high-level of inventory accuracy and integrity for both Finish Goods and Raw Materials areas for the Norcross facility. The clerk will be accountable of creating and maintaining inventory count sheets, audits, and in-depth review of any discrepancy.  This position works closely with all Distribution and Supply Chain Groups.

 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • This is a 2nd shift position, 2PM - 11PM.
  • Maintain cycle count program at 98% accuracy or better at all times.
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
  • Maintain product identification and location program.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them.
  • Responsible for completing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
  • Track and report non-conforming product.
  • Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
  • Document damaged product.
  • Able to flex shifts as needed for coverage in all areas within the Distribution department.
  • Will act as a backup for Distribution lead/Receiving Clerk.

 

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two-year college degree preferred.                                                                                                                                                  
  • 3-5 years of work-related experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of arithmetic and structured problem-solving tools and their applications, using these abilities to analyze and create proactive solutions to reduce or eliminate problems in order management and shipment planning, enhancing the ability to service customers, both internal and external.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately input data into various computer software applications.
  • Proficiency in ERP functionality with the ability to move information accurately between ERP and other analytical/reporting programs.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, involving as many resources as necessary to bring the issue to quick and accurate resolution, involving department and plant management on an “as needed” basis.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision to complete job tasks.
  • Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with suppliers, customers, management, and peers.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation operations, order management, performance metrics, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the accurate, efficient reporting of data to internal and external customers.
