EHS Coordinator


Position Summary:

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for daily reporting, safety initiatives and overall supporting a safety operation and culture.  This position will be responsible for OSHA reporting and workers comp administration to ensure an accident free work environment is provided. 


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and input all testing pertaining to Safety and Audits
  • Provide safety orientation for new hires
  • Ensure compliance with corporate EHS initiatives including monthly safety training, mobile inspections, ergonomic projects, 5S projects
  • Input all incident tracking for Close Calls, First Aid and TIR’s
  • Oversee the investigation of work related illness and injuries; investigating all Company accidents, determining the “root cause” and assuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Prepare OSHA and other governmental reports as required. Ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Ensure first aids, close calls and TIR’s are investigated properly and track corrective and preventative actions through completion and evaluation of effectiveness
  • Administer and manage Worker’s Compensation claims for the plant, communicating with the carrier about the most effective method to control and reduce cost.
  • Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly inspections
  • Perform GEMBA walks
  • Inspect plant floor for close calls
  • Update all EHS Boards
  • Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.


Candidate Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, and/or 3 to 5 years of work experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • At least one year EHS experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Must have reading, math, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, organization skills and is able to multi-task
