Sales Manager

 

Position Summary:

The Sales Manager position is directly responsible for sales growth and profitability management of the Bagcraft, Duro and Burrows business assigned for the Northern California Territory.  The position requires strong planning and people and project management skills to successfully achieve the annual business plan.  The position also requires the ability to create and expand relationships with regional accounts from the foodservice distribution, multi-unit restaurants, grocery distribution and packaging re-distribution markets.   The expectation is that this position increase sales and support the profitability of the business to successfully achieve Company objectives.

 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for direct contact and relationship-building throughout the customer’s organization.
  • Managing Broker groups in certain areas.
  • Maintains current business and develops new sales opportunities to support the business unit’s overall goals.
  • Provides feedback of market intelligence to sales management, pricing departments, and customer service.
  • Responsible for profitable management of business to support business unit goals, including selling price increases and adjustments to the customer base.
  • Work with Sales Service Managers/Customer Service to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a business plan with key distribution partners to establish and pursue operator target accounts to achieve annual objectives.
  • Identify key target accounts to pursue differentiated product trials and sales goals.
  • Overnight travel required.

 

 Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years sales experience in the foodservice packaging or foodservice product industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Outside sales experience dealing with procurement, sales, and sales management personnel.
  • Sales experience to include person-to-person tangible product sales.
  • Strong ability to self-manage and self-motivate.
